VFactor Health is a clinical-grade online health coaching program founded by Veronica Yu, a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in fat loss, metabolic health, and GLP-1 medication optimization.
About VFactor Health
We help women — primarily aged 45–65 — achieve sustainable fat loss, preserve muscle mass, manage GLP-1 side effects, and build the habits necessary to reduce medication dependence over time.
Unlike generic online fitness programs or telehealth providers that hand clients a prescription and little else, VFactor Health bridges the gap between clinical medicine and lasting lifestyle transformation. Our coaches deliver evidence-based, individualized support grounded in nutrition science, behavioral psychology, and metabolic physiology.
We are growing our coaching team and looking for experienced health and nutrition coaches who are passionate about helping women navigate this critical stage of their health journey — with real clinical rigor, not motivational fluff.
The Role
As a VFactor Health Coach, you will work directly with a caseload of clients enrolled in our 12-week VFactor Core Program. You will deliver personalized nutrition coaching, behavioral support, and accountability through a combination of scheduled one-on-one video sessions and ongoing asynchronous communication.
You will operate under the clinical framework developed by Veronica Yu (RD, PA) and will receive training in the proprietary VFactor methodology — including protocols for GLP-1 optimization, muscle preservation, side effect management, and medication tapering strategy.
This is a high-touch, relationship-driven role. Our clients are investing significantly in their health, and they expect — and deserve — a coach who brings both expertise and genuine care to every interaction.
What You'll Do
Client Coaching & Support
- Deliver individualized nutrition and lifestyle coaching to clients, following the VFactor Framework
- Conduct weekly or biweekly one-on-one coaching sessions via Zoom
- Provide ongoing support between sessions through messaging, voice memos, and weekly check-ins
- Monitor client progress, adjust plans as needed, and flag concerns to the lead coach
- Help clients optimize protein intake, manage macronutrients, and address nutritional gaps — particularly those common with reduced appetite on GLP-1 medications
GLP-1-Specific Coaching
- Guide clients through evidence-based strategies for minimizing GLP-1 side effects (nausea, fatigue, GI distress)
- Support muscle preservation protocols including resistance training guidance and protein timing
- Educate clients on how GLP-1 medications work, what to expect at each stage, and how to get the most from the lowest effective dose
- Support clients working toward reducing GLP-1 dependence through structured behavior change
Program Delivery & Collaboration
- Participate in group coaching sessions as needed
- Contribute to the VFactor coaching team through regular team meetings and case discussions
- Provide feedback on client trends, program materials, and coaching processes
- Maintain accurate client records and communication logs
Who You Are
Experience is what matters most. We're looking for coaches with a demonstrated track record of helping clients achieve lasting results — not just a list of certifications.
You bring
- 3+ years of hands-on experience coaching women in nutrition, weight management, or metabolic health
- A deep understanding of macronutrient-based nutrition coaching and how to tailor plans to individual needs, preferences, and medical considerations
- Experience working with women aged 40–65, particularly those navigating perimenopause, menopause, or hormonal changes
- Strong knowledge of resistance training principles and how to guide clients on muscle preservation during weight loss
- The ability to communicate complex health and nutrition concepts in a way that is clear, empowering, and grounded in science — not fear or hype
- Comfort with asynchronous communication — you're responsive, thoughtful, and consistent in your written and voice check-ins
- Emotional intelligence and empathy — our clients have often tried everything and arrive frustrated, skeptical, and vulnerable. You meet them where they are.
- Self-motivation and reliability — you manage your own schedule and deliver consistently without micromanagement
Preferred (not required)
- Familiarity with GLP-1 medications (semaglutide, tirzepatide) — their mechanisms, common side effects, and how nutrition and behavior interact with pharmacotherapy
- Relevant certifications such as RD, RDN, NASM, ACE, ISSA, Precision Nutrition (PN1/PN2), or equivalent
- Experience in a high-ticket coaching program where client experience and retention are paramount
- Background in clinical nutrition, dietetics, or allied health
What We Offer
- The opportunity to work alongside a clinician-founder (RD + PA) at the forefront of GLP-1 coaching — a rapidly growing and underserved space
- Training in the proprietary VFactor Framework, including clinical protocols you won't find in a standard certification
- A manageable caseload designed for deep, meaningful coaching relationships — not volume-based burnout
- A fully remote, flexible working arrangement
- A collaborative, mission-driven team that prioritizes client outcomes over metrics
- The chance to shape a growing program and have direct input on how it evolves
How to Apply
We review applications on a rolling basis. Qualified candidates will be invited to a conversation with our founder, Veronica Yu.
The application takes about 10–15 minutes. You'll share a brief introduction and your coaching background, and respond to a short scenario: A client on semaglutide tells you she's been losing weight but feels exhausted, is losing muscle tone, and her hair is thinning. What's your initial assessment, and what questions would you ask her?
VFactor Health is committed to building a diverse coaching team that reflects the communities we serve. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds. Note: VFactor Health delivers health coaching — education and support — not medical care, diagnosis, or treatment.
